Sonic 3D Blast makes people sick

My own experience

On the archive page for Sonic's UGC I stated "This game makes me want to throw up. The camera sway is genuinely sickening. I have heard good things about this game so I want to try it but I can never play more then 5 minutes at a time! I love isometric games when they are done right BUT Sonic 3D Blast serves as a reminder that this style of games could have visually gone down a much worse path."

The experience of others

While making the Sonic's UGC page, I did some more research on this topic. I am not the only one that experiences some sort of illness while playing this game! It's a relief to know since I kinda thought I was going crazy before streaming some of the gameplay to my boyfriend. He gets sick the same way too! Below are some reports of this happening to other people online.

(GAMEFAQS) Has anyone ever gotten through Sonic 3D blast...
"Has anyone ever gotten through Sonic 3D blast without getting violently ill? There's something about the way the screen moves that's just totally vomit-inducing. I managed to finish it once but had to take frequent breaks. Everyone I've asked about this has had a similar experience." ~ SpiralDrift

(Zelda Dungeon) Games that physically affected you
" Sonic 3d Blast makes me sick, ha. The times I played that game, it always makes my stomach turn b/c of the isometric view and the checkerboard patterns on all the floors. I just can't play it." ~ mαrkαsscoρ

(GAMEFAQS) has a game ever given you motion sickness?
"The only exception to that is Sonic 3D Blast, and it's still the only game that's actually caused me to puke." ~ geekneck99

(SONIC RETRO) The true ending to Sonic 3D Blast?
"That game used to make me physically ill. I could only make it w/o feeling like I was going the throw up around Spring Stadium Act 2." ~ XCubed

Conclusion

If you feel sick while playing this game, stop and don't play it anymore. This isn't just a one off thing and you will likely throw up.
