OC Porchfest 2025
Today I got to go to a music festival, you might hear those words and assume it was some huge ordeal but in reality it was a pretty small thing. It was called Oregon City Porchfest because a bunch of local bands came to play in parking lots and driveways in Oregon City. There was a ton of different bands playing and a bunch of different genres to choose from. When I saw that the website had an option to sort by genre, the punk section caught my eye. There was 6 different bands playing that had this umbrella genre. I got to see 2 bands play out of the 4 that me and my boyfriend planned to see. It was pretty hot and walking all around town with all our gear and drinks while in long sleeve shirts was getting to be too much so unfortunately we had to cut things short.
That all being said, I did enjoy my time there. It was my first time going to a music festival. I heard they tend to be chaotic and packed. This one was not crazy whatso ever which I am glad for. I packed extra because I figured more people would be showing up and in the heat they would probably need cold drinks. Luckily I don't think there was anyone who was suffering from heat exhaustion (except for me and my boyfriend after taking the wrong turn up a steep hill).
I promised myself not to record anything and only took one or two pictures per band. My phone was barely ever up nor was I in front of people when taking pictures.
Here's to Hoping
To start off the festival, we found ourselves sitting in a parking lot. The band was still setting up the drum kit and mics so we waited, I'm glad we did. They played more music then just this but this is all they have to show online :(

This band weezered us... Yes, they played a weezer song for some reason lol. Had a much more silly tone then the last band. That wasn't a bad thing btw, just made them feel a bit more down to earth. The music was good and aside from the random weezer cover I enjoyed myself. We also got free stickers and ice cream. 9/10 experience.
