I spent the last day worrying about today. I am writing this in the wee hours of the morning only after regaining enough of my fortitude to do so. If you are a US citizen, read up because none of us are safe anymore. If you are trans and in the US, take shelter with people that you trust for awhile. Before you say I am overreacting, please take a moment to educate yourself.

I am hearing talks of martial law being declared today. Don't stay alone anymore, this isn't a fight you can win solo. As is we are potentially witnessing holocaust levels of death. El Salvador clearly has used CECOT to kill people in the past, who is to say it isn't happening now? Who is to say it won't happen here if martial law gets declared?

People who get placed in CECOT don't seem to come out (at least not alive). The numbers of the amount of people there doesn't add up when compared to the amount of people who have been placed there. Even if what got picked up in the satellite imagry was a one off thing, it would just mean these prisoners are being treated like livestock in the meat industry (which is infamous for being cruel) and are given no human rights and no personal space to simply exist. No attempts at rehabilitating, just cruelty. No matter how it is being spun CECOT is a concentration camp and people aren't ever leaving it. More camps like this are being made for other out groups, immigrants are the first target. First they came for the immigrants. I spoke up but felt like I was screaming into the void. Next they come for me for speaking up. They'll come up with a reason to come for you too eventually, it's just a matter of time.
Resist the Nazis at all costs, we stand a chance when fighting this together. If you see someone getting snatched off the street you need to yell and get everyone involved with stopping it. Don't tolerate intolerance. We are all people at the end of the day. We all look the same when piled into a mass graves or chained to one another in abhorrently inhumane conditions. Look into joining a leftist political organization or making something yourself with people you trust. Get out there and protest. Protests in themselves are not enough but they are good for helping you network with other people. While online and offline speak up about topics like these, the mainstream media refuses to touch half of this even with a ten foot pole. We have to do it if nobody else will. Also remember that when peaceful protests results in nothing but punishment for the protesters, there is little recourse except for escalation of the situation. You can't win against Nazis when all you are using is a pen or keyboard. Those are tools to spread the word, they are not for direct action.
