SHTF (Shit hits the fan) on US Trans rights

If you exist as a trans person within the USA right now, your rights to exist are being attacked in real time. The FBI already has tried to label all trans people as "Nihilistic Violent Extremists" and before you say "they said not all trans people" how the fuck do you think that's really going to be applied? The right wing majority federal government hates our existence, it's an attack on our ability to exist. If you are against the fascist tactics that are being deployed by the federal government against it's own citizens, you are now considered a terrorist. They are openly admitting to being fascists at this point yet they still have people who defend them claiming otherwise. This isn't just a bunch of leftists screaming "everyones fascist" this is their own laws and words proving such. Antifa is the specific "organization" that Trump declared as being "terrorist". If you know what antifa is, you know how laughable the suggestion that it's a terrorist organization is. It's not even a organization! It's an umbrella term for people who hate and/or are morally opposed to fascists! It would be funny if not for this being the situation we find ourselves in. These rulings happened in September.
It is now October 1st and we find ourselves in the middle of a government shutdown. This shutdown was brought into place by the right wing federal majority as they control both chambers of congress. They intend to push a bill to cut funding for things like the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and Gender affirming care (includes BOTH trans and CIS people). What is currently holding the line is a bunch of democrats who are refusing to agree to the bill due to there already being a bill passed that trump selfproclaimed as "One Big Beautiful Bill" (a name that makes me throw up in my mouth). The "OBBB" already cut funding for Medicaid. Democrats are now holding the line for Obamacare and Trans (and CIS) rights. If you've read my past political blog posts, you know why I am not happy about this. I personally don't trust democrats to save us. In the past they have willingly tossed trans rights aside in order to "compromise" with fascists. You can't compromise with fascists otherwise they take it as a sign of weakness and push a thousand times harder. Well that repeated for awhile until we wound up where we are today. If democrats don't all collectively grow a spine and hold their ground on this one, trans people will effectively be forced to detransition because they will lose access to their HRT. This will also effect any CIS people needing the same medications for non trans reasons, there are more CIS people that need these medications then trans people that exist.
If democrats don't hold the line here, everyone who uses gender affirming care or obamacare will no longer have access to these things.
What can you do?
If you are trans, you should have a weapon and train with it. It could be a firearm, pepper spray, tazer, anything as long as it can give you a moment to flee or a chance to defend yourself and others. Get to know your neighbors and train with them too. Have a plan with them set up in the event that ICE and other federal agents wind up in your neighborhood. You can never have too much training with the tool that's intended to save your life and the lives of others + the exercises that allow for it to happen in the first place. The second amendment exists for a reason, don't let them take it away from the citizens. They want easy targets, not armed resistance from an entire neighborhood.
If you are on HRT, you needed to start stockpiling meds yesterday. If this regime gets it's way and democrats cave like they usually do, you will no longer have access to them once you run out. Consider rationing what you have by taking half of what you are prescribed. If you get pills, you can split them in half. If you inject, only fill up the syringe half way or half of what you usually do. The meds won't be as effective this way but at least you won't be instantly forced to medically detransition.
DIY is also an option but isn't as easy for trans masc individuals. It's way harder to legally get testosterone than it is to get estrogen. Please note, DIY probably won't stay legal and already might not be. It's a huge grey area that I personally have not had to resort to so I am not the person to ask about it. However, if you are interested in doing DIY there is a really useful website to check out (and locally store so you have access to it in the future if it ever goes offline). Another thing to do is to start pulling out cash from you bank whenever you can so in the event that you have to go off the grid due to persecution, you can still buy stuff without being as easy to track. It's impossible to stay truly hidden but there are things you can do to make yourself a much harder target. Stocking up on bulk dry foods that don't expire until years out is also a worth while investment. You should minimize your exposure to outside where possible. Remember, your cell phone is a massive opsec nightmare. If you have to go offgrid, DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONE. Buy a burner with the cash mentioned earlier while wearing a mask and non descript clothing that can't be tracked to the phone. If they require you to take off your mask, find another place to get a burner at. Non descript shoes is also vital as was pointed out to me, people obsess over weird details like that. Don't save contacts to the phone, don't call your family or friends with the burner unless your physical location is compromised and you are letting them know you are about to be in custody and need help.
Don't be an easy target.
Also, don't lose all faith. I don't trust the democrats but this government shutdown marks a massive shift from what democrats have been doing, into actually representing their constituents. If your local elected officials do not represent you and the people you know, do something about it and vote. We can't stick our heads in the sand and act like everythings ok lest your head becomes seperate from it's body. Part of what landed us in this mess was collective apathy. Politics effects your every day life and can't be ignored (try telling my ex that, lol). We might be able to find the light at the end of this tunnel and once we do, we have to stamp out fascism and not allow for it to return. Fascists love the paradox of tolerance and will abuse it for their gain. You cannot tolerate fascism if you want a peaceful and equal society.
Don't give into the suicidal thoughts, I know I was dealing with them quite extensively yesterday. I don't want to exist in a world where me and my loved ones are persecuted for trying to be comfortable in their own skin but I do want to fight for one where we are seen as equals with the average person. The fascists want us to just fall over and die, don't ever give that to them. You are a fighter for making it this far. Fighters don't back down and quit. Stay strong and strike true.
