DS Hall of shame
The DS has a certain reputation for being a shovelware platform. I don't think it's entirely deserved, the whole generation of consoles that the DS came from had a shovelware issue making this concept feel a bit misguided. Generations before the 7th also had their own steaming piles of shit. This has always been an issue. That's not to say the DS doesn't have it's own piles. Welcome to gremlin's DS Hall of shame.
Please note that opinions can change, I might find more games that I don't think has any value to players, and that these are just my opinions. My own personal opinions are not necessarily correct so please take them with a grain of salt.
Brain Age Series
Brain Age is a series of edutainment games inspired by the work of Ryuta Kawashima who also just so happens to be the face of the games. He is present throughout every game in the series. It's rather unfortunate when you take into account him being a zionist, eugenicist, transphobe. Rather unfortunate indeed.
Metroid Prime Pinball
I have personal beef with this game. I remember wanting metroid prime when I was a kid only to wake up on a christmas morning and see a copy of metroid prime pinball. "Oh I got you metroid prime, I thought thats what you wanted" I remember my mom saying to a disappointed me who actually wanted metroid prime hunters.
Aside from that, it's not a very fun pinball game.
Sonic Classic Collection
I will admit, this is a better release then Sonic the Hedgehog: Genesis for the Gameboy Advance. It is however, not good enough to save it from scrutiny. Sure, you get 4 games (Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles) but you play them through emulation. It runs the games better then it would through homebrew emulation but imo not well enough to play. In order to play these you need a consistent frame count, the higher the better. The frame rate fluctuates just as bad as STH:G on GBA. Sure, you don't get part of the view chopped off this time which allows you to see things the way you need to but it's still not the way it was on the original hardware. You get to react to things but at the cost of everything being squished. You'd be better off emulating these games on any PC released in the past 15 years.
