Boneless Chicken Wings

/gremlin/archives/cooking/boneless-wings/

Ingredients

Oil for frying
(I used olive oil)
2 cups of flour
4 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons cayanne pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
4 skinless and boneless chicken breasts
cut into 1/2 inch strips
Sauce of your choice
(I used buffalo wild wings honey bbq sauce)

Instructions

1. Add the flour, salt, black pepper, cayanne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder into a large bowl then mix it all together.

2. Wisk together egg and milk in a small bowl.

3. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg mix, then roll them in the flour mix. Do this twice for each piece of chicken.

4. Refrigerate the chicken for 20 minutes.

5. Heat up the oil until it reaches 375 degrees fahrenheit or 190 degrees celcius

6. Fry chicken in the hot oil half at a time. Cook until golden and juices run clear. This was 6 minutes for me. Make sure the chicken is at least 165 degrees fahrenheit or 74 degrees celcius.

7. In a sealed container, toss the chicken with a sauce of your choice.

Notes:

This is not gluten free, I will try to make a gluten free version at some point.

This recipe served 4 people with enough leftover for everyone to have some more.

The chicken breasts should be layed down horizontal then cut vertical

If your chicken is raw then the oil was too hot, the inside needs to reach the temptature stated in the recipe or hotter in order to be safe to consume.

The tempature of the oil will drop once you place the chicken in the oil, you might need to adjust the heat but staying around 309 F and above should be fine.

This recipe is based off another recipe for Bonless Buffalo Wings
The portions of ingredients are adjusted to my personal liking and for 4-5 servings.
